This Privacy Policy explains how the Daily Affirmations mobile application ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. We built the app to be privacy-friendly: it has no user accounts, and the affirmations you read and save stay on your device. Please read this policy alongside Google's Privacy Policy, which covers the advertising described below.
The app does not require you to create an account or provide any personal details such as your name, email address, or phone number. We do not ask you to log in.
Your app content — including favorited affirmations, your daily reminder time, which categories you have unlocked, and your last-viewed position — is stored locally on your device only. We do not have servers that receive, store, or process this information, and it is never transmitted to us. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, this information is permanently removed.
The app displays advertisements using Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process certain information from your device, including:
This collection is performed by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's policies. You can learn about and control ad personalization, and reset or delete your Advertising ID, in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads (Android). Resetting or opting out of a personalized Advertising ID does not remove ads, but limits ad personalization.
If you enable the optional daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. This is handled entirely on-device; no notification data is sent to us or to any server.
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is provided by Google in accordance with its policies.
Because your app content stays on your device, its security is tied to your device's own protections. Any data transmitted for advertising is sent over encrypted connections by Google.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
